A lot of artists I watch seem to be doing this and I haven't updated my journal in a while, so...
Oh my. Does this mean I'm actually up-to-date for once and not doing something a year after it was popular, like I usually do? O.O
How long have you been on DeviantArt?
9 years... has it been that long? D:What does your username mean?
Waaay back during the dawn of the Internet age, Pooky di Bear was the online handle I used and created a character for on an RPG message board. I switched to another user name years ago, but I keep it here out of nostalgia/don't really feel like going through the hassle of changing it.Describe yourself in three words.
Eternally sleep-deprived. >_<Are you left or right handed?
Right-handedWhat was your first deviation?
Uck. I actually migrated here from Elfwood, and left the more embarrassingly-bad drawings there. So my first deviation was actually something that was about three years old by the time I posted it here:What is your favourite type of art to create?
Oooh, a tough one! I would have to say pencil art - I enjoy sitting on the sofa, peacefully shading away while watching TV or listening to music. If you could instantly master a different art style, what would it be?
Realism. I got into art in a roundabout way, and often wish I could go back and do it properly by learning realism first. What was your first favourite?
I migrated to dA after one of my favorite artists at Epilogue came here. Sadly, he no longer seems to be on dA either, but this was one of my favorite pieces of his. What type of art do you tend to favourite the most?
Video game and anime fan art. However, I generally fav anything I find inspiring and/or unique or funny, especially if it's an illustration that tells a story.Who is your all-time favourite deviant artist?
Oooh, another tough one. I guess I'd have to say
. His pencil vs camera series never fails to amaze me (and turn me green with envy) with its imaginativeness and whimsicality. If you could meet anyone on DeviantArt in person, who would it be?
Would love to see you again! How has a fellow deviant impacted your life?
, amongst other awesome artists who I met on Epilogue and learned from. She probably doesn't even remember this, but when I first bought my tablet and was making a serious effort to learn digital painting, she drew me a personalized tutorial that helped me get Must We Fight? Finally finished!
into Epi. I still have that tutorial and use what I learned from it to paint all of my pieces! What are your preferred tools to create art?
Pencil, pen and ink, Prismacolor markers, my tablet/Photoshop and Illustrator. What is the most inspirational place for you to create art?
Just random places, really. I've been struck by inspiration while spacing out in my car, doing projects at work, watching TV, or even in the bathroom. The downside to this is that I'm gripped by an overwhelming urge to start sketching right then and there, which is a bad thing when I'm getting ready for work and have no time for such shenanigans. What is your favourite DeviantArt memory?
The time I entered a dA t-shirt design contest and got enough votes that my design was one of the top 50 finalists. Even though I didn't win, seeing my artwork up there, amongst all of the other awesome and beautiful designs, was one of the most surreal moments in my life.
